Magnus Niemann works as a software architekt and lead developer at Ontonym GmbH, a company which develops software solutions based on semantic web technologies. After graduating in computer science from Technische Universität Berlin he worked there as research assistant. In 2004, he switched to Freie Universität Berlin, where he was responsible for development and management in several semantic web projects. In 2008 he founded - together with three partners - the Ontonym GmbH.
